Make a wish

The caves found in the grounds of the Lingyin Buddhist temple are some of the most interesting things that you can visit here, which is saying a lot! There are several caves with Buddhas carved into the stone walls. Most of these carvings are scattered along the banks and hillsides of the temple area and date back from the tenth to the fourteenth centuries. Chinese tourists tend to touch the small buddhas carved in the cave walls in order to make a wish.

These caves are located in front of the famous Buddhist temple Lyngjin, on the outskirts of Hangzhou. It comprises a series of rocks and caves that show numerous figures of Buddhist gods, a true work of art from the Song Dynasty, Yuan and Ming. This place can be covered on foot, and get lost in it, giving the possibility of finding a bush after the figure of a Buddhist deity. Admission is 35 RMB, and is obtained in the entrance. If you want to go next to the Buddhist temple, will have to pay another 30 RMB entry, but you can only go to the temple without having to pay admission to see the caves, note that. Be careful not to go during national holidays, as it is filled with faithful that go to Temple.
