Formations which appear to be animals or people

Lanquin is a small town in Verapaz, about a 3 hours drive from Guatemala City. Q'eqchi and Spanish are spoken, and it's a wet, mountainous region. It often rains in Lanquin, while the rest of the area enjoys good weather. You can camp, but it's not recommended due to the rain. The hotels are very inexpensive, less than 5 euros a night per person. They are clean and nice families operate them. There are two main attractions when you're in Lanquin, The Lanquin caves, and waterfalls of Semuc Champey. In Semuc you can camp at the park entrance, and climb to a viewpoint to see the blue waters that run through the jungle. It's one of the most beautiful places in Guatemala. You go up with a small truck, for about 20 quetzals plus 20 for entry. The road can close due to rain. The caves near Lanquin are very nice too, but not as awesome as the Candelaria. But tourists visit them since they are close to Semuc. Admission is 2 euros and you can take a tour of the most spectacular place in the caves, with formations which appear to be animals or people.

Lanquín is a small village verapaces ...

Lanquín is a small village Verapaces region, three hours drive from the capital. They speak Qéqchí and Spanish, and it is a wet and mountainous region. It is common that a Lanquín rain, then it is fine in the rest of the region. You can pitch your tent there, but because of the rain I do not recommend it too, there are cheap hotels, and less than 5 euros per person, they are clean, run by nice families. There are two main attractions when you're Lanquín the caves of the same name, and the waterfalls of the natural reserve of Semuc Champey. A Semuc you can camp at the entrance of the park and ride has a viewpoint to see the blue waters that cross the jungle, this is one of the most beautiful places in Guatemala. You go with a small van, it cost about 20 Quetzales, plus 20 to the park entrance. But if it rains it is possible that the road is closed. As the caves are near the village, and also deserve a visit, but they are not as impressive as those of Candelaria. But as they are next to Semuc they are visited by almost all tourists who pass by. Entry listening 2 euros and there is a path through the most incredible place caves, rock formations that resemble animals or characters.
