If you take a walk in the well-known former hippie neighborhood of Haight-Ashbury in San Francisco (now populated by squatters more than anything else), take the opportunity to take a small detour to the Buena Vista Park. Prepare your calves for an uphill walk! From up there, in addition to beautiful lawns (perfect for sunbathing), you'll have a splendid view over the city.
