Where to stay in San Francisco

    Hotels in San Francisco
    Hotel Des Arts
One reason for not wanting to get out of bed in the Hotel des Arts is that you are a lazy creature and the other is that it's fascinating to sleep under a painting by an artist of the local scene in San Francisco. If you like Sofi´s recommendation in San Francisco, you´ll like Sofi's Trip to Burgos.

    Green Tortoise Hostel
A friend and I went to spend three days in San Francisco and this hostel was a hit and ahd charm that a normal hotel can not offer ... I noticed that there weren't any people over 35 years old, but that's part of the reason why we liked. The rooms are basic, but that's ok because we were only there to sleep. We spent the rest of the day visiting the city and when night arrives, you can meet people with similar interests with whom you can share your experiences. You enter that small community of young travelers when you participate in the first dinner (free on Tuesdays) or in your first Beer Olympics (which, oddly enough, was won by a German girl and a Frenchman!). The fact is that during your stay, you live with people have alrady been there a few days and can recommend good places. There are computers with free wi-fi, 3 free dinners, parties, etc.

    Hotel Fusion, a C-Two Hotel
This is a nice hotel in the heart of downtown San Francisco. Though the rooms are kind of small, the hotel is worth if only for its location. You are just a three minute walk from Union Square and Market Street. Also, the staff is very friendly and it has everything you are looking for. A good choice if you're looking for a hotel in the city.

    Twin Peaks Hotel
The Twin Peaks is located in the Castro neighborhood, close to Metro Church. We found it in a Lonely Planet Guide and truthfully, it was very good value for the price. They have weekly rates of $250 for a double room with a sink, and the shared bathrooms were very clean. It is well connected with the metro and trams going down to the center and there are many bars and restaurants nearby in the Mission and Castro areas. It cimes highly recommended for tight budgets.

    Hyatt Regency Hotel
The most spectacular thing about the center pier is the lobby of this hotel. I haven´t written this so that you will go and stay there (unless you have a good budget), but so that you will take a peek at it. It has a pyramid and rooms with a diagonal ceiling, like the Luxor in Las Vegas. A pair of glazed external lifts lead to Equinox, a revolving restaurant, and a giant sculpture in the middle of the hall make it worthy of a review.
    Motels in San Francisco
    Francisco Bay Inn
This is one of several motels on Lombard street, and is almost certainly the best option for lodging in any area. Budget everything because staying in the city center is expensive, this area included. The hotel is close to almost everything (well, close is relative in America). It is 300 meters from Lombard street from the photos. The motel is good, but not fancy. The exterior elevator works for some reason. The breakfast is very basic. The price during peak season was $145 for 4 people. It was spacious. You can negotiate the price if you pay cash instead of with a card (talk to the Indian owner with a negotiating face). It has parking. Overall it was a good opinion, but I do not know that it was the best. I gave it a 5.5.

You are provided with a kitchen, if you want to prepare your own food and a dining room where you enjoy it, and all the amenities of a three star hotel.

    HI San Francisco City Center
HI San Francisco City Center is a hostel in downtown San Francisco that's a good choice for those on a budget. It's in the Tenderloin district, which is not a great neighborhood, but the hostel itself is top notch. It's a former hotel converted into a dorm-style hostel with 4-bed shared rooms and a few privates. Everything is clean and comfortable, and sheets and towels are provided. Breakfast is free and is stuff like bagels, fruit, jams, tea and coffee. $24.00 per night in winter. A really good deal!

    Hotel Nikko San Francisco
The Hotel Nikko in San Franciso is great. I spent 5 nights there and everything was fantastic. The room was fine, but a little small. The bathroom was great. The reception staff are very attentive.

    W San Francisco Hotel
This Hotel is always on top of things! The decor is very modern and altogether fun. They managed to mix different styles that convey a sense of comfort and good vibes! The rooms, although not huge, are the perfect size to fit everything (and everyone) comfortably! The people are friendly, the concierge is very helpful in finding the perfect place for each customer, and the breakfast, though expensive, is out of this world, and there is even a DJ to liven up Friday and Saturday nights! A great place to stay!

    The Mosser Hotel
From my point of view, it is a hotel that is conveniently located next to the Financial District. It is not a bad price for what you get here and it is very clean. The rooms are somewhat small (or at least you do not have an in-suite bathroom), but for the time you spend in the room it is more than enough. We took the room with a shared bathroom because it was between 200 and 300 € cheaper. But the bathroom is very nice and very clean and we only had to wait once to use it. The rooms have a sink, mirror, hairdryer, towels and amenities. Breakfast is included in the price but is not anything special: coffee or tea and muffins made there. Breakfast is taken in the lobby of the hotel, on the couch if you're lucky. I did not like it very much but it was not an inconvenience. In my experience, I recommend it! Room Tip: Book early, because there are usually good looking deals.

    The Dylan at SFO hotel
The Dylan at SF is located next to the airport and only a five-minute walk from the Millbrae BART station, so getting to downtown San Francisco will take you about 20 minutes. It also offers a free shuttle to and from the airport. The rooms are modern and clean, and there's free wi-fi and coffee machines. Parking and breakfast are both free and the breakfast includes sausages, waffles, juice, fruit and cereals of all kinds. It's a very good option if you're just passing through and much cheaper than hotels downtown.

    Hotel Stratford
The Stratford Hotel in San Francisco was the last hotel we stayed at during our trip through the US. In general, I would say that we felt a little cramped in this hotel as the rooms are not large and neither are the hallways. Despite the size, it ended up being a pretty comfortable stay. The guy at the Front Desk answered all of our questions without hesitation. The wi-fi was not free, rather unfortunate especially considering we were in a big city like San Francisco. But as I always say, when you travel it's what you visit that matters, not the hotel!
    Motels in San Francisco
    Ocean Park Motel
This was the first motel in San Francisco, opened in April 1937 to celebrate the opening of the Golden Gate Bridge. In an era in which Edgar Hoover reigned over a conservative society, Ocean Park provided a relaxed, romantic atmosphere for couples where they could watch Pacific Ocean with glasses of champagne. The motel remains in the hands of the same family that opened it and stays true to the spirit of its origins. It's located in a quiet area near Ocean Beach where you can see cyclists, runners, and surfers in the mornings. The zoo is also nearby and you can also reach Golden Gate Park fairly easily. The hotel's is made of two round, light-blue buildings divided by a parking low. Despite its age, the well-manicured lawn gives the hotel a really well-kept appearance. The rooms are filled with retro art deco decor and each one is a bit different from the others. If you're looking for the latest in hotel design and technology, this is not your place. The prices are about $50.00 per person per night, which really isn't bad for San Francisco. There L line runs by the hotel so you can get around the city pretty easily. The hotel has free parking.

    San Francisco International Hostel
Our getaway to San Francisco the 4th-5th of September began at 8 P.M. We arrived by train and had no accommodation. Luckily we found the "San Francisco International Hostel," located at 140 Mason Street. As always, we were lucky, because it was also just 200 meters away from Ruby Skye, one of the most famous discotheques of San Francisco. You can find more videos like this in "my minube corner".
