Churches, Wineries and Underground Kitchens

When walking through Derinkuyu, you have to look at the small details and the layout of the rooms to understand the function of each room. You can make out the wineries (with small channels and a pool for pressing grapes), the blackened kitchens and even a Jesuit church! I recommend visiting the city with a guide, as it will be easier to understand how the ancient troglodyte people lived and you are also less likely to get lost!
