Fort of Algarrobo

The Fort of Algarrobo, or the watchtower, is right across from the other watchtower of the village, called Torre Ladeada or "Daleá", at the mouth of the River Algarrobo. This military fortress dates back to the sixteenth century and its mission was to guard the coasts to prevent invasions, especially from pirates. The tower is circular and is very well maintained.
