Fountain

This fountain (or Chafariz) is in the heart of the Republic Square. It is a typically Portuguese fountain, built of granite in the 18th century. On a base of three steps is the container where the water falls, which has a hexagonal shape, and in the middle of this stands a column with two braziers that are different heights, where the pipe comes out of the water.
