Interesting city
Kazan is a very important Russian city. It has slightly more than one million inhabitants and the Kremlin World Heritage Site but just taking a walk through its streets is interesting. There are areas that seem to have been through a disaster. You´ll see totally destroyed buildings next to new shopping centers. Besides the contrast in the city among Orthodoxes and Muslims, there is a contrast between the destroyed buildings and new ones. It is a sprawling city that has not yet erased the traces of the past.
