La Molina

La Molina is a small village or hamlet in the municipality of Cútar. It is located about 15 minutes drive from Benamargosa, on the road to the nearby village of Riogordo and half an hour from Torre del Mar, on the coast. La Molina is located in the river valley of the Cuevas with many surrounding plantations growing avocados, mangoes and citrus fruits. In Molina, one of the houses has a tower of stones that you can see in this photo. There is a famous story associated with it but there was nobody there to ask so I will have to find out next time I visit.
