The Jarillas is a humble hamlet (no more than 13 houses), where hardworking people work the neighboring fields. They are uninformed and without any proper education. They are good people who go to work during the day, perhaps walking for hours or riding on a horse, if they have one, and they return to their humble dwellings. These houses are generally in very poor condition and very cheaply made, with thatched roofs and almost no comfort or good standards of hygiene. The Provincial Government has proposed to tear down these houses to avoid the worse problem that could come from the spread of Chagas-Mazza, a medical name for the illness transmitted by bugs, biting the human and leaving a parasite.
