Saudade
An important place
This church is an important pilgrimage centre in the Czech Republic. Inside is its most precious treasure and the reason for its fame: The replica of the Holy House of Loreto in Italy. This Holy House of Nazareth was the home where the Virgin Mary lived, and where the archangel Gabriel told her that she would conceive the son of God. As the cult of the Virgin spread across Europe, replicas of this house appeared, and the one in Prague is said to be the most faithful to the original.
