North Pier

Blackpool has three piers representative of how important it was yesteryear. Of these three piers the North Pier was perhaps the most glamorous and prestigious. While the other two are overrun by amusement rides, this is perhaps the busiest of all the piers with beautiful coastal views of the city, the tower and even the Central Pier. At the entrance there are cafes and souvenir shops and at the other end there is the classic carousel (a very old one that takes us back to the Victorian era) and a theater. There are also psychics, fortune tellers and other such characters, one of the most famous is a lady of Romanian origin, Rosa Petulengro, who gives an exotic touch to the place.
