Monastery that is now a Unesco World Heritage Site
Probota Monastery was constructed in the year 1530 by Prince Petru Rares. It is in the area of Bucovina, along with many lovely medieval monasteries. The word monastery monks used because it is administered, but sometimes they do not have a place to live, it is a church of that name. The outside painting of this church, dedicated to St. Nicholas is a bit off but the inside is the nicest. The monastery was named aUNESCO World Heritage Site in the year 1993 and since then took funds to undertake a major refurbishment. It was discovered during an archaeological excavation .
