Roznamedzi Ibrahim Efendi Mosque

1 review of Roznamedzi Ibrahim Efendi Mosque

The sole survivor

Good

This is the only mosque that survived the terrible bombing that destroyed Mostar between 1993 and 1995. It stands in Feljica Brace, the city's old shopping street, surrounded by a small leafy courtyard on the east bank of the Neretva. The madrasa has been recently rebuilt, after the original building was demolished in 1960. From the alley in front of the mosque, there is access to a pedestrian bridge, the only one that was constructed from scratch after the war.
