Patron of the City
In front of the Basilica of Sejny, in a large garden center is the chapel of St. Agatha, which was built in 1789. On top of it, in the centre of the roof is the image of the saint made of wood in the 18th century. St. Agatha is one of the patron saints of the city and protects it against fire, because before the construction of the chapel, the population was affected by many fires.
