Da BEARS!!!!!

Go ahead and save your monies for an old fashioned American brew of Coors Light, and a jumbo polish sausage with the works of grilled onions and peppers on it! Soldier Field is an amazing time and an incredible building. Yes, it once was a gorgeous classic looking building from the 20's and has since been updated, but it is still a wonder of the city. The majestic pillars are the same and take you back to a time of American football being treated as royalty!

There are numerous memorials and tributes in the building, but the spaceship styled building is a memorial itself. The stadium recognizes and celebrates the troops that fight for the United States of American and is truly an American treasure. The Bears are a beloved team and are more than just a football team but also are a representation of the Chicago people.

When we went to the first game last Friday, we sat next to two girls from Columbus OH who were having the time of their life! They took a bus in, paid $75 for a pre-season ticket, and we all sat out in the summer night cheering for the Bears and drinking until our voices gave out! The Bears have their own victory song with every touchdown they make and die hard fans. It is not just a building, but a symbol of Chicago.

Soccer Field

Soccer Field stadium is located on the south end of Grant Park. overlooking Lake Michigan. It houses the home games of the NFL's Chicago Bears, a professional football team. It's a great stadium built in the 20s that follows neoclassical architectural guidelines. I have a lot of affection for it, as the first time I traveled to the city I was given a room that had a spectacular view of its facilities. It underwent a radical overhaul ten years ago that altered its structure so much it lost its historical place category, something Americans take very seriously. Only two colonnaded sides were kept.

The facilities might be technologically advanced, but the building has lost all of its kitschy charm. A shame. What was once a Greco-Roman circle is now no more than post-modern goop.
