Museums in Long Beach
Museum of Latin American Art
Staying in North Hollywood, I got up early and made my way to MOLAA, Museum of Latin American Art, as I was keen to visit the exhibition of one of the best performance artists: Regina José Galindo. Ever since I had known I was coming to LA, I knew it would be my first destination. The museum is fantastic and has other exhibitions as well. A great place to visit.
Harbors in Long Beach
Parkers' Lighthouse
A great place to take a romantic stroll, there are excellent restaurants, bars, and great views of the harbor and the beautiful lighthouse. There is also a great aquarium here, but the city really comes alive at night.
Museums in Long Beach
Scorpion Submarine Museum
When we were in Long Beach, we stayed one night at the Hotel Queen Mary. Next to this hotel is an old submarine from the Soviet area, so we decided to take a look. In reality, the visit (which costs about thirty dollars) is incredibly claustrophobic, especially if you imagine that 78 crewmen would have been in such a small space ... but my husband and the kids loved it anyway!
Gardens in Long Beach
El Dorado Park
First time I came to this park, I was inspired by it's natural beauty. Such large place, hidden in the midst of our city walls. I had never seen it before but very happy I found it!
