Praça do Marquês de Pombal

The Marques de Pombal is a fairly large square located behind the Municipal Market on the streets of Albuquerque Mousinho and Manuel Silva. It is a garden square, with several areas of grass and trees interspersed among paths. There are several interesting things in this square like the tourist office, the Cross of Independence, the monument to those killed in WWI, and the Monument to David Alves.
