Rue des Remparts

A Rue des Remparts é uma via tranquila na beira da zona alta da cidade, na chamada Vieux-Quebec. Essa rua existe há séculos, e corre logo ao lado da antiga muralha que protegia a cidade. Na verdade o que há ali não é uma muralha, e sim um reparo - em termos arquitetônicos, um reparo é um muro com terra atrás que é erguido em frente a uma fortificação, e é dele que a rua recebeu seu nome. Nos dias de hoje a Rue des Remparts é bastante calma, com casas bonitas e muitos canhões - mas muitos mesmo! Chego a pensar se alguma outra cidade tem tantos canhões como Quebec, e nessa rua estão boa parte deles. Também tem lindas vistas, o que me atrai mais a voltar sempre lá; pode-se ver os rios Saint-Charles e Saint-Laurent, a zona baixa da cidade, os Laurentides e também o Chateau Frontenac e os prédios bonitos que o circundam. Toda vez que passo por lá, fotografo novamente.
