UCA Former Protocol House (Central America University) Protocol

1 review of UCA Former Protocol House (Central America University) Protocol

Fantastic

The small town of Poneloya, with a fantastic beach bearing the same name, is a half hour from Leon on the way to the Pacific coast. From there, you can walk to Peñitas, another amazing beach, and the former home of the UCA protocol. It's a stately mansion that has been abandoned, with only walls and terraces. There are no floors or ceilings to hold it up. The garden has been destroyed and left abandoned to its fate, as was the mansion, and in the middle, there is a hole for a chipped and dirty pool. At the bottom of the stairs, the ravine bordering the sea floor surrounds you with a strange sense of calm and decay, showing off the exuberant Nicaraguan nature that has devoured this place.
