Whan Phra Mogkhon Bophit

This is one of the stops on the tourist circuit around Thailand - home of one of the country's largest bronze Buddhas, dating back to the late fifteenth century. In 1767, the Burmese destroyed most of the temple, and broke the head and right hand of the Buddha.
