Zahora beach begins at the end of El Palmar beach beside Trafalgar lighthouse beach or "Aceitera" (a very natural beach without developments or buildings) in sight of the lighthouse tower. It never gets crowded, even in the middle of August, and is a delight for your eyes with over 2,000 meters long and little umbrellas. The end is dominated by the white lighthouse tower, to which you must pay a visit, and discover at low tide a cove with a rocky platform that the sea has eroded haphazardly in random circles.
Surprise! The first time I went to Barbate I walked down the cliff on a small path to reach a creek or mini-beach. A virgin beach area in Spain? From the cliffs above the view is beautiful - no beach bars. I look forward to returning as it is impressive.
Barbate is a coastal town in the province of Cádiz that now looks rather depressed. The interesting thing about this place are the beach bars that serve tuna de almadraba and grilled sardines in the spring-summer. The beach is wide and you can go for a swim. If you have time to cook go to the market to buy tuna because it is much cheaper than in a restaurant, although even the restaurant prices weren't outrageous.
The Natural Park of La Brena and the marshes of Barbate cliffs consist mainly of pine forest and wetlands, it is 5,057 hectares of which 1,152 are marine. The Cliff Edge is 100 meters above sea level and stretches over 2 kilometers, here is Torre del Tajo. The pine forest is vast and occupies most of the park, the marshes are a natural fish nursery and an intermediate rest area for bird migration routes between Europe and Africa.
A large pine forest with marked trails and some watchtower remains with rocky cliffs that are, in November, colored with flowers of a peculiar purple. The cracks, ledges and crevices of the cliff offer excellent protection for many birds, such as herons and gulls. Truncated cone construction,14 metres high located at the edge of the cliffs of Tagus. Built in 1585 to link the visibility between Barbate and Trafalgar towers, though another one was needed, the one in Meca. You can get to the tower from several paths, though the most popular are those from Los Canos de Meca or from Barbate.
A place with peace and quiet and to rest after doing your job. Located behind the Barbate port area and next to the famous Playa del Carmen. I recommend it for the peace that exists in the area, for its superb cuisine and the presentation of the dishes.
A quiet tour through the natural marshes of Barbate, inland will take you to a tiny village where you can ask to see this Visigothic hermitage. The tour is comforting and the ruins, almost overgrown, are an evocative corner to enjoy. Barbate Cottages: Http :/ / www.Toprural.Com/andalucia/cadiz/casas-rurales-barbate_rm-es-11007.htm
LikeI said, certainly the best cafe of Barbate. On the waterfront, great atmosphere, great service, and a good decoration. Above all its wonderful cocktails. Just a little problem, it does not open on Mondays.
