A picturesque park
This picturesque park south of downtown Chicago is the burial place for distinguished statesman Douglas. The Stephen Arnold Douglas Monument Association was organized in 1861 to build a fitting monument for the grave. In 1864 the Association adopted the design of sculptor Leonard W. Illinois Volk. It is located in Chicago.
