Upon visiting the medieval town of Sarlat you should take a moment to admire the Cathedral of Saint-Sacerdos that dominates the old city. The Cathedral is a historical monument dedicated to San Sacerdos of Limoges. It was built in 1317 in a Romanesque style. It was later reconstructed in 1504-1680, where it was converted into the Gothic cathedral. It consists of a chapel (San Benito) and a bell-shaped lump from the seventeenth century.
